Nancy Long Cole, Esq.

Nancy Cole hails from the Midwest but has lived in California her entire adult life. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California, Riverside, in Comparative Literature. She received her Juris Doctor from University of San Diego School of Law in 1976. Since then, she has continuously practiced in civil litigation that spanned business law, family law, insurance coverage, and premises liability, including extensive defense representation of public entities. She has cultivated a thorough familiarity with the California Government Torts Lability Act, the Brown Act guidelines for decision-making by public entity governing boards, and the California Family Law Act. She has handled multiple mediations, arbitrations, bench, and jury trials.

With longstanding relationships with liability insurance companies and self-insured entities, she always strives to take every case to the most efficient resolution that will also serve the structure and needs of the client.

Ms. Cole is a member of the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice in several Federal courts. She has served as advisor to a Moot Court panel for Cornelia Connely High School students, sat as Judge Pro Tem in Superior Court, and volunteered as a Special Master for the State Bar. She has also served as an adjunct professor of legal writing at Loyola Law School and acted as a panelist in civil litigation seminars for The Rutter Group continuing education services.  A former member of the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce, having served two years on its Board of Directors, she is now focused on Los Angeles-based personal injury defense litigation.

As a recovering sailor active in amateur sailboat racing, she currently enjoys quieter times with her two adult daughters, their families and her dog.
